From the Floral Designer... As a floral designer and event stylist, I’m typically working on designs tailored to clients and couples. This styled shoot was an open-ended opportunity to flex my creative muscles and craft a look that showcases my style as a designer. My love for light, airy backdrops, modern bridal fashion, and fun pops of color informed the overall aesthetic of this styled shoot, which combined modern elements and a fun, unstuffy, elegance. With my husband, photographer Matthew Land, behind the lens, the photo shoot took place in our home and studio space—deemed the Land Loft—which lent the perfect natural light and space to set up the vignettes for this shoot.

The Dress Theory provided gorgeous gowns (and a sequin biker jacket!) from French designer, Rime Arodaky, Alexandra Grecco’s ‘Astrid’ gown, and beautiful hair accessories by Twigs & Honey. No bridal look would be complete without rings, and Seattle jeweler T. Anthony Jewelers lent us some stunning pieces to top off the look! Gold Comb Salon and Love Beauty worked their hair and makeup magic for our lovely models, Amy, Mariah, and Mikayla from Seattle Models Guild. To keep things looking clean, modern, and elegant (but not stuffy), I draped the table in a grey velvet linen from La Tavola Fine Linen, and set the table using pieces from my personal collection for clean lines and neutral tones. The florals throughout the shoot lent a fun pop of color and flowing, organic lines to the design. To top off the details, local shop and stationery designer extraordinaire, Spruce, put together a stationary suite to pull the whole look together—I love the vellum envelopes and the pairing of clean typography with fun calligraphy! For a sweet element to this shoot, the talented baker Nancy Stuart from Saltadena designed cakes that pulled in hand-painted details and minimalist, clean lines.
